Spring break is a time to catch up on homework. Or is it?
Working in a private Catholic school makes me pause and reflect on that particular issue. I try to provide my students with time to participate in their parish activities but then I discover that they took off to the beach or went on a family trip. I’d like to think they’re taking time to reflect on their spiritual growth but I know that it isn’t always the case.
My lesson plans for the semester take into consideration a short respite from the daily grind of academic pursuits. I earnestly hope that the students use this time wisely and will be ready to get back into the swing of things to finish the school year satisfactorily. Am I asking too much?~~LMM
